   My name is Erik Hernandez. I've been married to my amazing wife for over 10 years, and together, we have two beautiful children. I'm currently employed as a Network Operations Center Technician and have been in this position for over three years. I am pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Data and Cyber Security. As a Network Operations Center Technician (NOC Tech), my primary role is troubleshooting. I handle enterprise-size businesses and their internet troubles. This includes troubleshooting fiber optic and ethernet circuits around the globe. I have hundreds of hours of experience in different routers and switches of varying makes and models, but I want to get into the finer details of firewalls and cybersecurity. 

    The blog idea came to me as I began submerging myself in technology. When I tried figuring out where to start learning and where the starting line was, I realized everyone had an opinion on where or how to start. This frustrated and overwhelmed me, and I began to think I could be the change. I could help guide those lost in the vast world of technology and learn with me as I become an expert. I want to offer a place where you can get factual information as a foundational stepping stone to begin your technology journey.
